In Development

The X58 boxcar will be released in the following three body configurations:

X58 Photo 1
Original "as built" configuration

X58 Photo 1
Transition configuration

X58 Photo 1
Modern configuration

Every scheme produced on the model will be a fully accurate representation of a specific car based on photographs, with the correct body and underframe configuration utilized.  And with prototypes that had ACI plates applied, the model also will feature the ACI plate -- including the correct barcode sequence that corresponds to the reporting marks.  With accurate and car-specific tooled details and decoration, BLMA's ASF 75-ton ride-control trucks with metal wheels, and Micro-Trains® couplers installed in a thin-profile extended draft-gear coupler box, these models arguably will be the most accurate items ever mass-produced in N scale.

ACI for PRR 114260
This is the accurate ACI barcode for PRR 114260, which will be item #222104 in Release 1 and the first ESM model to feature an ACI plate.

It appears we may be able to cost-effectively piggy-back onto the X58 tooling and offer ice air conditioning bunkers that will fit the Micro-Trains® series of Heavyweights.  Single and double bunkers would be available.  Even if future MTL heavyweight models are tooled with ice bunkers, these parts will allow for kitbashing and scratchbuilding without having to cut MTL heavyweight underframes apart for the parts.  The ice bunkers will be produced with the X58 and should be available around the end of the year.
